🚦 Shibuya Crossing comes to Burnaby!
Have you seen the intersection upgrades happening at Metrotown? Burnaby is officially joining the ranks of Tokyo, New York, and London with a brand-new, four-way pedestrian scramble crossing!
Once completed this June, pedestrians will be able to cross in every direction at the same time—including diagonally. This update is designed to move crowds more efficiently and significantly reduce the conflict between cars, buses, and foot traffic in one of the busiest spots in the Lower Mainland. Alongside this massive safety upgrade, the city is also removing that old, dead-end pedestrian overpass to streamline the station’s infrastructure.
